About this trip

FJORDS • WILD • WOMEN • DISCOVERY

The Massif rises like a wall of timeless stone. The weather shifts with a pulse all its own. Lagoons become mirrors. Glaciers groan. And somewhere between sky, rock, and water, something inside you wakes up — the steady heartbeat of courage, curiosity, and connection.

This is not a place to escape life. This is a place to meet yourself.

Artemis: Patagonia is one of the most ambitious and profound Artemis experiences ever created. Not because it is the hardest or most physically demanding, but because women from across the globe will gather here for a once-in-a-lifetime shared journey. Chile Nativo and Fireside Adventures are coming together to give their absolute best: expert leadership, cultural depth, safety, care, and an experience shaped with intention.

ABOUT ARTEMIS: PATAGONIA

Artemis: Patagonia is a women-centred expedition for those seeking depth, meaning, and genuine connection in one of the world’s most powerful wilderness regions. Many call Patagonia “the end of the world.” Artemis sees it differently:

What feels like the edge of the map is often the beginning of something profound.

Artemis: Patagonia is intentionally designed to be:

  • Inclusive — welcoming women of all identities, abilities, lived experiences, and backgrounds

  • Experiential — rooted in culture, land, story, and community

  • Grounded — led by local knowledge and a deep respect for place

  • Transformational — a space to grow, reconnect, and rise in strong sisterhood

This is not tourism.
This is a collective women’s experience, woven from land, culture, courage, and story.

The Itinerary (12 Days)

The true hook: this is where Patagonia works its magic.

Participants will:

  • Immerse themselves in fjords, pampas, glaciers, forests, and towering peaks

  • Learn from Patagonian communities through cooking, weaving, storytelling, and culture

  • Navigate shifting weather with resilience, teamwork, humour, and grace

  • Practice leadership in one of the most inspiring natural classrooms on Mother Earth

  • Share stories and perspectives with women from around the world

  • Build confidence, connection, and strength, physically, emotionally, and spiritually

Patagonia is for strong, untamed spirits, for women ready to rise, reconnect, and reclaim their wild selves

Welcome to Patagonia

  • Arrival at Puerto Natales

  • Briefing + Welcome dinner at Quincho CN

  • Night at Hotel in Puerto Natales (D)

You'll arrive at Puerto Natales Airport. There you will find our private transfer which takes you to your Hotel in Puerto Natales City.  You are now in one of the southernmost cities in the world! Living the charm of Puerto Natales is a must if you are looking to get to know Chilean Patagonia in depth. In our city, you will be able to complement the wonderful excursions to the Patagonian nature with the soul of its people, its varied gastronomy, and its art, which will allow you to get to know our customs, traditions, and local culture. Puerto Natales is located in front of the Última Esperanza Sound between the sea, forests, and Patagonian mountains. The city represents the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park.

Walking along the Costanera de Puerto Natales (Waterfront) and observing the wonderful landscapes that surround it is a great experience. The trail runs through the entire city, and on its sea edge, you will get the best views of the place. They are imposed by the sea and its abandoned docks, the Patagonian hills and the local fauna where swans and flamingos abound. We will start this amazing Patagonia experience by reuniting for our first dinner, an authentic Patagonian lamb barbecue at Chile Nativo quincho! A Patagonian quincho is a traditional gathering space or outdoor kitchen commonly found in southern Chile and Argentina, especially in Patagonia. It's deeply rooted in the social and culinary culture of the region.

Ancient Stories of Wise Women

  • Cooking Class with regional flavours

  • Kawésqar basketry activity

  • Night at Hotel in Puerto Natales (B - L)

Today we start the day cooking! We will head to Lenga Restaurante, a beautiful place known for its exquisite cuisine led by Chef Rodrigo San Martín. Focused on Chilean cooking, using local products to create beautiful and delicious dishes. Each of you will prepare your own plate following the chef’s instructions, and afterward we’ll sit down to enjoy lunch together. You’ll learn what makes Chilean food unique, along with the main ingredients and seasonings used throughout the country, so that during the rest of your program, you’ll be able to recognize them in the meals you try!

After lunch, we will have some free time to explore Puerto Natales, before reuniting once again to be immersed in the rich cultural heritage of the Kawesqar people through our Kawesqar Weaving Workshop. This activity offers a unique opportunity to learn about the traditional craft of weaving directly from the indigenous artisans themselves. As you engage in the weaving process, you'll gain insights into the cultural significance of each element and pattern. These women are of the last representatives of the Kawésqar culture, who once inhabited this land before colonization. For a long time, our communities coexisted, but with the arrival of modern life, their culture gradually adapted to contemporary times. Nevertheless, these remarkable women continue to keep the traditions and stories of their people alive!

Day 3

Day 3 image

A Gentle Beginning

  • 5 Hour Hike, 13 km / 8 miles

  • Night at RiverSide Camp (B - BL - D)

We begin at Estancia Lazo, a traditional livestock ranch that was once part of the historic Sociedad Explotadora de Tierra del Fuego. Today, it remains dedicated to cattle farming while offering some of the most spectacular views of the Paine Massif and the emerald waters of Laguna Verde. The journey starts beneath the silent canopy of lenga forests, as the birdsong guides our steps toward open slopes and the turquoise Paine River sparkling below. This trail invites both movement and stillness, a perfect welcome to Patagonia. We will reach Laguna Honda and continue to the Mirador del Lago Toro.

After a short but winding descent to Weber Bridge, our private transfer will take us to Riverside Camp, on the banks of the Serrano River, where we will be greeted with a freshly prepared welcome dinner and breathtaking views of the Paine Massif. The evening is perfect for a Trauma Release Exercises (TRE) session! These are a series of seven exercises that induce a natural, full-body tremoring or shaking to release deep-seated physical and emotional stress, tension, and trauma.

Day 4

Day 4 image

Along the Serrano River

  • Forest bathing with a hike to the Nutria River (4.5-hour hike, 6 km / 3,7 mi)

  • Night at Riverside Camp (B - BL - D)

The day invites a slower pace. We follow the serene course of the Serrano River, letting its steady flow guide our steps and soften our stride. Along the way, we will pause for a 2.5-hour Forest Bathing immersion, an experience that awakens the senses and connects us deeply with the lenga and ñirre forests. Then, we will reach the confluence of the Serrano and Nutria Rivers, where a small waterfall invites us to attune to the pulse of water and wind. The afternoon unfolds with practices designed to restore balance and release tension: TRE®, conscious breathing, and guided journaling. Every moment is an invitation to turn inward, cultivate presence, and nurture a deeper sense of well-being.

Day 5

Day 5 image

Walking Where the Wild Breathes

  • Las Carretas trail (6 to 7-hour hike, 15,9 km / 9,3 mi)

  • 35 minutes catamaran

  • Night at RiverSide Camp (B - BL - D)

An easy trail follows the course of the Grey River, winding through a regenerating forest. After about six hours of hiking along the Las Carretas trail, the landscape opens up to the sparkling waters of Lake Pehoé, where we pause for lunch with panoramic views of Paine Grande. At this spot, at the foot of the Paine Massif, we will board a catamaran that takes us across the turquoise lake, whose surface reflects the shifting hues of the mountains as the light transforms the landscape.

Day 6

Day 6 image

NEW PERSPECTIVES OF THE MASSIF

  • Hike Cuernos (3-Hour Hike, 6 km/3.7mi)

  • Hike Condor (2-Hour Hike/10 KM)

  • Night at Riverside Camp (B - BL - D)

Today, we explore two iconic viewpoints, each offering a unique perspective of the Paine Massif. We begin with a gentle hike along Lake Nordenskjöld, whose glacial waters lap at the shore as the Cuernos rise imposingly above us. Later, the trail climbs more steeply to the Condor Viewpoint, where expansive views of the valley below reward our effort. Standing here, surrounded by vast skies and rugged mountains, it’s easy to feel both humbled and inspired by the scale and beauty of this extraordinary landscape.

Day 7

Day 7 image

The Image of a Calm Lagoon

  • Wildlife Safari in Torres del Paine National Park

  • Laguna Azul - Hike Laguna Cebolla (5 hours)

  • Night at RiverSide Camp (B - BL - D)

Today, we will drive to Laguna Azul to walk across open terrain, ideal for contemplation and wildlife encounters. This special place offers a beautiful walk along the wetlands and beach of its blue colored lagoon, where we will see a number of different waterfowl and bird species that inhabit this area. We will be treated to exceptional views of the iconic towers in the distance, the changing Patagonia sky, and the surrounding mountain peaks that make this area picturesque.

Day 8

Day 8 image

Horseback Riding at Vega Castillo

  • Vega Castillo wetland for bird watching and horseback riding

  • Night at RiverSide Camp (B - BL - D)

Today we will have a more relaxing day visiting the Vega Castillo Wetland in Estancia Vega Castillo, which spans over 450 hectares of wetlands, and this body of water is one of the largest in the area, hosting the greatest variety of species. It is surrounded by Nothofagus forests, the Tres Pasos River, and Toro Lake, which gives it special characteristics that have made it a nesting site for species such as Black-necked Swans, Coscoroba Swans, Southern Lapwings, Black Ducks, Red Shovelers, and Tuco-tucos, among others. Additionally, since the wetland is located within Estancia Vega Castillo, where livestock is raised, it’s also possible to encounter predators such as pumas and foxes in the area. This place is ideal for our horseback ride. After a safety briefing, we’ll connect with our horses and ride around the wetland. It’s a gentle, peaceful terrain with beautiful views.

Day 9

Day 9 image

The Iconic Trek to Las Torres

  • 8-10 Hour Hike,  22 km / 13.6 mi

  • Breakfast - Box lunch - Dinner

Today we're ready to begin the first W Trek’s highlight: the hike to the Towers lookout. We’ll ascend following the Ascencio River into the Ascencio Valley. Here, we will stop and observe the first glimpses of this gorgeous valley, with beech forests, glaciers, and waterfalls. Then, we will continue uphill before beginning your ascent of the gigantic terminal moraine, 900 meters above sea level.  At the top, this lookout point 900 meters (2,953 ft.) above sea level, will reward us with the remarkable sight of the three Towers themselves, and at their base, a green-blue lagoon provides a counterpoint of stillness. Rest a while, take photos, and have lunch before beginning our descent down the same path and to our first campsite/Refugio for the evening. Overnight at Camping/Refugio Torres (B-BL-D)

Day 10

Day 10 image

Journey to Punta Arenas

  • Transfer to Punta Arenas

  • Lunch in a Patagonia Estancia

  • Night at Hotel in Punta Arenas (B - BL).

Today we changed our destination. We will pick you up from your hotel and head south through the pampa toward the city of Punta Arenas, a historic gateway to Antarctica, shaped by pioneers, sailors, and resilient women who built their lives at the end of the world.  On the way, we will stop for lunch at Estancia Río Penitente, a traditional Patagonian ranch where generations of hardworking men and women have played a key role in preserving local culture and rural life. You’ll have the chance to see a bit of the work carried out on the estancia before continuing our journey. Once in Punta Arenas, you’ll have the afternoon free to explore or rest, as tomorrow we will wake up very early!

Day 11

Day 11 image

Sisters of the Deep

  • Kayak with whales

  • Farewell dinner at the Yegua local

  • Night at Hotel in Punta Arenas (B - L)

The adventure begins in Punta Arenas, from where we’ll travel south to kilometre 50 to set sail from Bahía Carrera.

You’ll navigate through the spectacular Francisco Coloane Marine Park, home to an incredible variety of wildlife: humpback whales, sea lions, cormorants, skuas, petrels, and albatrosses, all surrounded by breathtaking mountains and forests. But the highlight of this journey takes place at Shag Passage, where you’ll have the chance to hop on a kayak and paddle alongside whales, a truly intimate and awe-inspiring encounter with nature. You’ll be accompanied at all times by expert guides, with a support boat always nearby to assist you and ensure your safety and peace of mind.

Whales and women share strong bonds, a sense of community, and a natural ability to guide and protect their groups. Both are resilient and deeply connected to their environment. In nature, many whale species are led by older females whose knowledge guides the pod, a social structure known as matriarchy. Similarly, women in human communities often act as central leaders and caretakers, passing experience and guidance through generations.

The evening will be a celebration between the Artemis members with surprises, gifts, and more.
